After working on the far south coast for a few years, Matt worked in London in 2011 before returning to the Shoalhaven and joining BaiMed in 2012. Among other things, he has completed advanced training in Dry Needling, cycling biomechanics and headaches.

Harbouring a keen interest in road cycling and mountain biking, Matt recently completed a 1000km charity ride from Melbourne to Nowra and rode the gruelling ‘Pioneer’ mountain bike stage race in New Zealand.

John previously worked in the finance industry before making the career jump to Physiotherapy due to his interest in health sciences and sports.

John has developed a special interest in sporting injuries including ACL rehabilitation, shoulder and lower limb tendinopathies over the years working in private practice. He has also been involved with sports coverage including the UNSW football club and Macarthur Rams football club in the National Premier League.

Maddie has been a part of the BaiMed family since 2015, initially in our admin team and then as a Strength and Conditioning Coach from 2019. Maddie has been the South Coast Blaze Strength and Conditioning Coach for two years since their inclusion in the Netball NSW Premier League.  

After graduating from a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2021, Maddie progressed to working as an Exercise Physiologist in the BaiMed Performance Centre and Nowra clinic. 

Maddie’s special interests are in youth long term athletic development, return to sport, and high-performance strength and conditioning. Maddie also has a focus in gymnastics, after being a gymnast herself for 16 years, and a Gymnastics Coach at SCYC Nowra Gymnastics for 9 years. 

Away from work, Maddie loves spending time with her fiancé, Lachlan, and their spotty Dalmatian puppy, Poppy. Maddie also enjoys going to the gym, socialising with friends and exploring new places and tracks.

Originally from Engadine, before moving to Kiama Sarah worked in the neuromuscular rehabilitation clinic in Sydney. Sarah is passionate about treating neurological conditions in particular Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and stroke. Outside of work you’ll find Sarah spending time with her friends and family, playing netball, enjoying the beach, bush walks, camping and taking Jock (Sarah’s Blue Heeler) to the dog park.

Luke Besgrove

Luke grew up on the Central Coast, representing the region in rugby union. Luke has a keen interest in sport, especially in basketball and football. Following his studies he completed a physio internship at the Sydney Kings, and would like to work with professional athletes and sport again in the future.

Luke has a particular interest in vestibular physio, and also in treating knees and ankles. He values the variety of patients and people he gets to meet working as a physio.

Luke has enjoyed snowboarding in Japan, trekking to Mt Everest Base Camp and helicoptering through the Himalayas, and when he isn’t off adventuring he loves spending quality time with his dog, Kobe.

Claire has always been passionate about sport and as a teenager she was a competitive swimmer and her highlights include national medals for under 17 and 18yrs, 5km and 10km open water swims. In 2017 she completed the Rottnest Channel Swim in 5hrs 57min. In her second last year of her undergraduate degree she went on exchange to North Carolina University and decided to try out for the crew team. This was an experience to be a division one athlete for 6 months in an American college. After graduating in Curtin, Claire moved to the Snowy Mountains to Cooma and took up snowboarding and league tag. Claire worked as a sports trainer for 5 years with various sporting codes at all different levels including rugby union, rugby league and soccer. She has taught clinical Pilates for 2 years and enjoys seeing people learn to appreciate how strong and amazing their bodies are. Outside of work you’ll find Claire playing social touch and netball, hiking and spending time with her 8 month old Kelpie who keeps her very active!

Involved with the region’s Matildas and Socceroos players for more than 10 years Awarded Young business leader of the year at the Illawarra Business Awards in 2013 Corporate supporter and Board Member of Friends of The Trust – which has raised over 1.7 million for a respite home to be delivered in the next 3 years. Founder and organiser of BaiMed 100 100s event which raises valuable funds every year to support Disability Services and FOTT. As the founder of BaiMed, Mick is constantly amazed at how many wonderful people BaiMed has allowed him to meet and work with over the years. He has a special interest in lower body biomechanics, especially with regards to the age old debate over load vs capacity. His patients benefit from the professional network he’s formed which allows him access to the state’s top specialists and surgeons.

Mick is famous for his stories (to describe injuries and treatment) which could fill a book (Title pending: ‘Expressions of Interest’) and loves working with people to help them restore their own love of life! He constantly reminds his staff (and the world) of three simple statements that form the backbone of our existence: (1) Do good always; (2) Don’t be too concerned with first world problems; and (3) When asked how you are, always answer “amazing, wonderful or exceptional”.

Jordan has always had a keen interest in physiotherapy from a young age due to playing a lot of sport and spending a lot of time getting treated for injuries (mostly by the physiotherapists at BaiMed!).

Jordan’s sporting highlight was representing NSW in surf boat rowing and winning the Australian Open.

After becoming a physio, Jordan’s career highlight was working as a strength and conditioning associate with the NSW Waratahs for the 19-20 season.

Jordan has a special interest in lower limb injuries, particularly injuries sustained through soccer and athletics.

In addition to treating injuries, Jordan is also working in our aged care team.

Outside of work you’ll find him playing any sport (especially one of his favourite sports of soccer and rowing), at the beach or snow, or finding new places to camp and travel.

Jess grew up dancing and playing netball in a small country town, before moving to Sydney and training full time as a dancer (majoring in contemporary and ballet). After sustaining some overuse injuries dancing, Jess moved to to Wollongong where she began her journey as a Physiotherapist.

Over the past few years, Jess has been a sports trainer for the Illawarra Stingrays (WNPL), Port Kembla F.C. and Warilla Wanderers. Whilst also working in a hospital setting where she gained experience in orthopedic, neurological and geriatric physiotherapy.

Jess enjoys spending time with friends, swimming at the beach, cooking, going to the gym, bush walking, and listening to music in her spare time.
